Posted 9/16/08 – It’s a sad day. For a few short moments during 2005’s Live 8, we saw Pink Floyd together and hoped. We wondered about the money they might make, the songs they might play, how many shows we might be able to make it to see. Could Roger mend fences with the band that made him great? Would David allow this to happen? We knew they were not getting any younger, I wonder if they did? I wonder what it feels like to have that great big wonderful door closed forever. I am sorry for Mr. Wright’s family and friends. And I am sorry for us, too.

NMEによりますと
The Secret Machines have revealed details of their forthcoming album.
The band will self-release the self-titled follow-up to 2006’s ‘Ten Silver Drops’ in the US on October 14.
The album was recorded in New York City and produced by the band and Brandon Mason. It contains eight tracks including ‘Atomic Heels’, ‘Have I Run Out’ and ‘The Walls Are Starting To Crack’.
It is their first album to feature the band’s new guitarist Phil Karnats, who has replaced Benjamin Curtis after he left the in March of last year, as previously reported.
The album tracklisting is:
‘Atomic Heels’
‘Last Believer, Drop Dead’
‘Have I Run Out’
‘Underneath The Concrete’
‘Now You’re Gone’
‘The Walls are Starting To Crack’
‘I Never Thought To Ask’
‘The Fire Is Waiting’
Meanwhile, the band are set to perform at New Jersey’s All Points West festival on August 10.

シークレットマシーンズはもうすぐリリースされるアルバムについて詳細を明らかにした。
2006年のTen Silver Dropsに続くセルフプロデュース、セルフタイトルのアルバムを10月14日に合衆国で発売する。
アルバムはバンド自身とBrandon Masonによるプロデュースでニューヨークでレコーディングされた。 ‘Atomic Heels’, ‘Have I Run Out’ and ‘The Walls Are Starting To Crack’を含む８曲入り。
すでに伝えられていた通り去年の３月にBenjamin Curtisがバンドを脱退し、新しく迎えたPhil Karnatsをフィーチャーした最初のアルバムとなる。
トラックリストは上記の通り。
８月10日にバンドはニュージャージーのAll Points West festivalに出演する。
